Before this test, Block III failed two times to hit the target accurately. Today the DRDO scientists tested this missile in Andaman Nicobar islands. This Brahmos missile has a range of 290 KM.
This Brahmos test fire all the parameters including high level manoeuvres of a successful missile test. This Brahmos’s air version is being tested with Sukhoi MKI Strike fighters. Though introduction of this supersonic cruise missile will take some more time. Brahmos missile is developed in a joint defense cooperation project with Russia.
Currently Brahmos has four different missiles in its bag. Surface to surface, Surface to Air, Air to Surface and Air to air missiles. This new Block III missiles are adaptable in all conditions. But firstly these are scheduled to introduce in Indian Army.
