With the most predictable and one-sided victory of Indian Cricket Team on the ‘Underdogs’ Bangladesh, the nation saw an overhyped and most obvious response after every victory; Bangladesh Cricket Team is trolled at every Social Media platform, the handle #WeWon’tGiveItBack, revived once again, Rohit Sharma, who was a big flop against every test playing country in the current World Cup resumed his position of Country’s true hero and Tendulkar’s prodigy. Plus, the poor performance of Virat Kohli was blamed on Anushka Sharma, after her home production movie, NH10 released last Friday.

India’s Differentiated View Towards SportsThe malls are crowded, the electronic stores has much pedestrians viewing their product than the customers, even though Senior Secondary Examinations are going on at many places, still it isn’t enough to stop a die-heart cricket fan to witness the most important festival of Cricket, which is more like a religion in India, than any other sport. The dilemma of MSD of ‘Being on National Duty’ rather than being with her newborn daughter is the most emotional aspect of this aurora.

After having an unsuccessful two and a half month long tour at Australia, losing both the Test Series and the Tri-Series, Indian’s weren’t expected to be in the World Cup winning race. But after their consecutive victories over arch-rivals Pakistan and one of the hot favorites of the title South Africa, the fans regained their lost enthusiasm in the world cup and since then, there is no looking back. Plus the ‘Mauka-Mauka’ ad campaign is too hilarious.

But what went unnoticed were the achievements acquired by other sports person in different fields at the national level, making India proud. For instance,

All these events were overshadowed by the mighty event of World cup and the hype created by the PR team about it. Even the flashy IPL Auction and Suresh Raina’s wedding were able to make some news in the middle.

The point is, ‘Why every other sport is sidelined and went unnoticed while even minute paparazzi of cricket is intensified with each minute passing by?’ ‘Why only top notch companies are interested in sponsoring Cricket, whose board is already the richest in the world and keep ignoring the talents of other sportsperson which requires that attention and facilities they deserve, or in our case, they crave for ?’ Still there are many ‘‘Why’s’’ and “How’s” unanswered and need to be answered soon; before the IPL starts.
