An ill fated day for the pop sensation Madonna. This 56 years old singer falls off the stage while performing on stage at the 2015 Brit Awards. The fatal incident took place in front of almost a large audience including those were watching it over their television. But the tough girl surely knows how to “carry on”.
The Fall and the Consequence
Madonna tumbled down a set of stairs after a dance expert attempted to remove a cape she was wearing towards the beginning of her performance. It was a pre planned action that just gone horribly wrong. It meant to remove the cape as stage machinery. It is too uncanny that she actually fell on the verse “I let down my guard, I fell into your arms” and was once again on her feet to sing deliberately “now that it’s over, I’m going to carry on”.
As a consequence the clipping got viral and twitter has flooded with twits and comments and there are too many jokes on the unfortunate incident. But some of her fans were too supportive to her. She herself showed her sporty sprit not only by carrying on with her performances but taking it easily and posting on her Instagram “Nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up,” referencing the lyrics to her song. “Thanks for your good wishes!” [BBC News]
According to the singer, the cape was too tightly fastened to her neck and though she tried to unfasten it before the action, she failed to escape the disaster. Madonna could have been injured badly but she made a narrow escape. The incident took place almost at the end of the show. The rest of the award ceremony has gone well without any further issue.
Stage disaster is not a big deal as it can happen anywhere with anyone. Last few Oscar’s ceremony is a perfect example for that where Jennifer Lawrence went through some rough episodes. But at the end of the day what matters how you tackle the situation and carry on your action without hesitating.
