Well, coming to our ‘Mangal Pandey’, the buzz in the air is about his hefty endorsement fees of approximately 20 crore. Snapdeal declared that launching of Khan as its ambassador would be fed with boundless campaigns (television and online). And the campaigning onus fell on none other than the 9th largest worldwide agency ‘Leo Burnett’. Leo Burnett already had claimed a segment of company’s creative account, followed by multi-agency pitch, which was set in motion in last November. The executive aware of the development quantifies this account’s worth as 100 crores.

The picky Aamir Khan has once again preserved his endorsement-selectivity for the brands. Having had link with Coca-Cola, Tata Sky, Titan, Godrej and Samsung, the ‘fortune’ now meets Snapdeal. When asked to comment on till date advancement, Leo Burnett kept its lips zipped. However, reciprocating to the ET’s email, Snapdeal’s spokesperson verbatim is stated below

“This is speculation and as a policy, we do not comment on speculations.”

The e-commerce companies’ flourish in leaps and bounds is something none of us can be doubtful of. To top, getting celebrities as brand ambassador is more of a cherry on their cakes. Yepme involved the one and only ‘King Khan’. Myntra brought in the ‘towel’ boy, Ranbir Kapoor. Jabong and LimeRoad got themselves the two sizzling divas, Yami Gautam and Neha Dhupia respectively. Celebrities representing e-commerce industry has now become a rage and every e-commerce industry is embracing it.
